Pigeon with Roast Beetroot

My fiance loves pickled beetroot. She’ll munch through jars of the stuff as a snack but I’ve never been all that fussed by it. It’s too overpowering and annihilates whatever is unfortunate enough to share a plate with it. That’s not to say I don’t like beetroot. They’ve also added a long table in the centre with newspapers and books for their more casual visitors. Continue reading “Quick lunch – meat board at Buchanan’s”

Despite getting sidetracked by a pork pie and some free sausage samples we eventually completed our mission and returned home with a pack of pheasant breasts and a few pigeon breasts (to be blogged another day).
