You can tell the nights are really drawing in up here! This yet another dark ale making an appearance on the blog – Twelve Days from the Hook Norton Brewery.
It boasts of being dark and strong on the bottle (5.5% if you’re wondering) and looks like the business when it pours into the glass. A thick, foamy brown head hints at a yeasty flavour to come which proves to be accurate, though it’s not unpleasant (unlike an overly yeasty home brew I made at the start of the year!).
In fact this is a lovely ale that I can see me drinking a few bottles of over the winter. Lots of coffee and chocolate in the taste but not overpowering or too strong. Pretty easy drinking for a dark ale as well.
